What is the D20 Poetry Contest:
Every year D20 holds a poetry contest for students in grades K-12. This year’s poem was a Huitain. Huitain poems are composed of eight lines with between eight and ten syllables each. Their rhyme scheme is ababbcbc.
Students are recognized for either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place. Students receive a copy of the D20 poetry book (all K-12 winning poems) and a Barnes & Noble Gift card. Mountain View had 5 students who placed.
